My Favorite PQ Moment
by Sandi A.

Actually, my favorite PQ moment has not happened yet. That moment will be when I am sitting in a theatre, and Philip first strides out onto the stage before me! *That* will be my favorite! However, until that moment arrives - if it ever does - some other moments come to mind. As far as the TAC, my faves have all been described beautifully by the other contributors to this section. I must say, though, that I'll never forget watching the TAC for the first time, wondering who that wonderful performer was, and then when he finished singing 'Stars' and shot that menacing glare toward the audience (sort of an "I'll find you Valjean if it's the last thing I do" look) that did it! I was hooked. A couple of favorite moments from other shows that come to mind are two in marked contrast to each other. In Harvey when you are sure Philip as The Minister is going to throttle Dr. Voysner to death, the violent rage and strength he exhibits is shocking! By contrast, in Ultraviolet Pearse enters a room to question an agitated Marion Wainwright who immediately launches a number of angry questions at him. Philip's reaction is so subtle. First a slight look of surprise followed by an ever so subtle nod of the head indicating that she should be quiet and sit down....which she does! The nod was subtle but the message it delivered (along with the look in those lovely eyes) was loud and clear to Mrs. Wainwright. When he's onscreen, there is no doubt who's in charge!
