If you haven't had the sublime pleasure of experiencing any of the above theatre roles you may remember Philip Quast from his film and television work where he added his special touch to such characters as the policeman (and womaniser) Carl Roberts in The Caterpillar Wish, the civic-minded teacher Ian McGregor in Brides of Christ, or The Damnation of Harvey McHugh where he oozed evil as the sexy politician Michael Muldoon. Or perhaps you were mesmerized by him in Ultraviolet, where he starred as the mysterious and stoic Father Pearse J. Harman, or enjoyed one of his many other personas on shows like Midsomer Murders, Inspector Morse or The Governor. Finally, if you live in Australia you may have had the joy to watch him, as a child or young parent, in the highly acclaimed children's show Play School for which he still has a strong affinity. |
If you, like us, were intrigued by this great talent then these pages may give you a more in-depth look and better insight into the man who brought these and other figures so vividly and memorably to life. The PQ Guide Team |
