There is no question that this is a wonderful record of what has proved to be a very fine revival of a great landmark in British musical Theatre.
All of the principals are superb vocally, repeating their distinctive stage performances. Elena Roger as Evita is absolutely stunning while Matt Rawle and Philip Quast give high class vocal support. Much of the success is owed to Simon Lee and his excellent conducting of the score. The quality of the recording is very fine, providing everyone with a superb sound picture of this excellent revival.

October 2006: A thousand thanks to Sir Tim Rice, who sent a lovely letter in support of the "Evita Complete Recording Petition".
Sir Tim closed his letter expressing his "hope that a full recording will be issued".
