Argentinian actress Elena Roger stars in Andrew Lloyd Webber's legendary musical, Evita. We met up with Elena to find out how playing the first woman of Argentina was going.
1. How does it feel to take the West End by Storm? Are you aware of it and are you being recognised in the street?
Well, thank you. I wasn't aware of that. I just enjoy knowing how much the audience loves the whole show. Regarding people recognising me on the streets, I can tell you it's hard for them to even recognise me when I come out through the stage door after the show!
2. How do you cope with the exhaustion of dancing, singing and carrying the show every night?
I have two days off that are very important to recover my energy after six shows. I sleep and eat well and try not to do a lot of things during the day. Being disciplined has its amazing reward and that is to be able to put everything into my performance on stage.
