Jeannie (Brenda Blethyn) married an Aussie, John Dwight (Frankie J. Holden), a one-hit-wonder country singer. She left England for Sydney when she married him. Written by Keith Thompson, Clubland (which was released in the USA under the title Introducing the Dwights) is a comedy-drama that has its flaws, but it's a cut above most others of its type.
