There is great buzz around Clubland following its success at the Sundance film festival, featuring a cast of well known faces and up and comings talent including Brenda Blethyn, Frankie J Holden, Kaan Chittenden, Emma Booth, Philip Quast and Rebecca Gibney.
Jean is a performer whose big break never came, she continues on working in a canteen by day and entertaining in the RSL clubs at night, still hopeful of a chance to be in a bigger spotlight before she gets too old. Her son Tim on the other hand is young and just beginning life, heading out on his own finding a girlfriend, getting a job and creating his own identity – all of which would be easier if he didn’t have an attention seeking, drama queen mother.
