I have many favorite moments from the TAC concert, a few of which I would like to share. My first favorite moment is during "On Parole", when Philip growls "And I'm Javert" with such an ominous tone of warning. I also love how his eyes reflect that same ominous warning tone. In 'Stars', when Philip sings "Stars in your multitudes", the awe and reverence in his voice is so moving that it makes me cry. At the conclusion of 'Stars', I love the way he looks out over the audience, with such an ominous glare. In 'Javert's Suicide, from the first moment when he reaches around to his ponytail and releases a lock of hair, to his final anguished cry, Philip conveys so movingly all the bewilderment and pain of Javert`s tortured soul. I love how Philip so gracefully arches his head and body to convey Javert jumping from the bridge. Every time I watch 'Javert's Suicide', I am always awestruck at the beauty and brilliance of Philip's performance. During the Finale, I like the scene which shows Philip sitting in his chair with his head turned back to the chorus, listening with obvious enjoyment. Philip was so sweet when he threw a gentle kiss to the orchestra and chorus. The supporting efforts of the chorus and orchestra often go un-noticed, and it says much for Philip's good and kind heart that he made a special effort to show his appreciation. I love how Philip's beautiful expressive eyes reveal how deeply moved he was by the tremendous response from the audience. Philip's behavior during the final bows and speeches, shows that he is a sweet, gentle lovely man with a beautiful soul.
