If you enjoy kids films with animals in them, but you've had your fill of animals in human clothing and fancy techniques designed to make animals look like they're talking, then Napoleon might just be for you. It's a sweet, funny animal film that makes no attempt to move dogs' lips or otherwise make animals look and act human. Yet the voice given to each animal provides personality and humour every bit as effectively as all the high-tech stuff in other films.
Napoleon is the story of a puppy who's got the itch to explore beyond his suburban backyard home. He's none too happy with his name (Muffin), preferring to go by Napoleon. And he's willing to hop into a basket and get carried away by the balloons tied to it. He's carried from his home over downtown Sydney, Australia, and then into the harbour, where currents carry him to a wilderness on the other side.
