LESSONS FROM THE MESS IN MESOPOTAMIA

Over in America, the quarternal excitement of the presidential elections is hotting up nicely and the political debate is all about Iraq.

George "I'm a war president" Bush reminded his fellow Americans on Monday that: "Today, because America has acted, and because America has led, the forces of terror and tyranny have suffered defeat after defeat. And America and the world are safer."

It should be enough to get him re-elected. Especially when John "reporting for duty" Kerry keeps bleating that Iraq was "the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time". Americans hate negativity. They accentuate the positive.
